The Program
U9-U15 Soccer Details
Willoughby Soccer program is a structured developmental soccer program focused on developing individual player soccer skills and knowledge, as well as promoting good sportsmanship and learning how to be successful in a team setting. Prospective players are REQUIRED to attend a practice in order to be considered for placement on a team. The Willoughby Soccer program is structured to offer the following:
- Two practices per week, (days and time per coaches availability).
- Director of Coaching who works with Coach to develop practices and will on occasion lead practice.
- Additional work with paid coaches from CSA or other supplemental coaching arrangements.
- One game per week played against another community, which is typically on Sunday afternoon.
The Willoughby Soccer program registers our players with US Club Soccer and games are played as part of the Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL). The OHTSL league has over 70 participating communities from Northeast Ohio with over 750 teams across all communities. The OHTSL league is structured to offer multiple divisions per age group.
The Willoughby Soccer season consists of both a fall and spring season. In each season, the team plays 8 games. There are also optional practice and game sessions during the winter at indoor facilities.
